Chapter 1

    We live in a vast, practically infinite in comparison to our small world universe. Still, it comes as a surprise to many that there might be another living and intelligent species out there among the stars. Though they are indeed living, we will follow the story of a species that are of a humble origin on the intelligence part. A very long time ago, long before humans walked the earth, they existed on a planet far far away, likely just as aware of their own existence as you are of theirs right now. Their body structure somewhat resembled our own, though inside the cranium of most of them only a single brain cell could be found. Funny as this may sound, they were perfectly capable of surviving on their home planet, feeding mostly on plants. Here we come across another similarity between them and us - in our sociery the vast majority of wealth, over 80% is owned by 1% of the population. In their world 80% of the intelligence is possessed by 1% of the population. After thousands of years, segregation became greater and greater, as the top performers started advancing their technology and eventually became space travellers, though for the most part they never left the orbit of their home planet.
